About Me
I am a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, licensed through the State of Utah and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). My journey into medicine has been deeply personal and shaped by both professional experience and real-life challenges.
Before entering healthcare, I spent 20 wonderful years as a stay-at-home mom, raising my children. Once they were in school, I felt a calling to return to education and pursue a long-held passion for nursing. I completed my nursing degree at Weber State University and began my career in pediatric home health, followed by several years on the surgical floor at Ogden Regional Hospital. From there, I transitioned to the operating room at McKay-Dee Hospital, where I worked for over nine years and built relationships with incredible colleagues and patients along the way.
Despite my rewarding career, I found myself facing unexplained health challenges that left me feeling unheard. I saw seven different physicians and three specialists—each of whom dismissed my symptoms as simply part of “getting older,” being “overweight,” or “constipated.” Deep down, I knew something more was going on. That experience ignited a passion in me to take control of my own health and seek answers beyond conventional medicine.
Determined to make a difference for myself and others, I went back to school and earned my Nurse Practitioner degree from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. After graduating, I began practicing in a natural medicine clinic, where I received advanced training in herbal medicine, nutritional supplementation, gut health, detoxification, and bioidentical hormone therapy.
With the support of a knowledgeable mentor and integrative training, I was able to restore my health—and today, I feel better than I ever have.
This personal transformation fuels my work every day. I believe that when a patient says something is wrong, we should listen. Your symptoms matter, your story matters, and my goal is to partner with you to uncover the root causes of illness and help you reclaim vibrant health.
